Under the direction of the CFO, the Assistant Controller is responsible for timely and accurate follow up of all assigned accounts. Submits reports to CFO/Business Office Manager as assigned. Maintain collection files and monitors for accuracy. Performs other various clerical responsibilities as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Manages month-end accounting close process to ensure timeliness and accuracy
• Assures journal entries are completed in a timely manner
• Reviews and assures compliance with all supporting documents
• Prepares/oversees completion of monthly reconciliation
• Prepares Corporate check requests
• Processes Accounts Payable checks
• Assures deficiencies are communicated and resolved
• Supports day-to-day functioning of Accounting and Payroll
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Job Experience/Certification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance required.
• Prior experience as an auditor preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical facility business office preferred.
